Follow the steps below to store your
feeder between calving seasons.

taps parallel with pipes. This is especially
important if winter frosts are expected.
2) Tank lids need to be ajar. Prop lids open
using lid handle holders.
3) Check lid seals for signs of perishing. Lid
seals should be replaced annually.
5) On
MTF series
remove all caps and teats
and inspect for damage. Look for signs of
wear, cracks, splits and perishing. Replace
any damaged teats before the next season.
6) Check for any ‘play’ in trailer
wheels. If play is excessive, wheel
bearingsmay need replacing.

‘play’ in the swing armaxle. If play is
excessive, bearings, spacers and seals
may need replacing.

on jockeywheel arm.
9) Store feeder under cover.
5) With engine still running remove one teat
on opposite side of themanifold valve.
Monitor thewater level inside the tank and
turn off pump engine before all thewater
drains out.
6) The feeder nowneeds a final rinsewith
coldwater. Turn all valvesONand connect
a coldwater household hose to the hose
connector. Turn on hose and keepwater
running until clear.
7) Once the inside of the feeder is clean,
disconnect the hose from the connector
and use towash the exterior of the feeder,
brushing as needed.

squeeze excesswater out of each teat by
hand. Then rinse the outside of each teat
with cleanwater andwipe down to remove
all residue fromcalves.
