Watchwater level inside the tank to ensure
water does not drain out while engine is
still running.
7) Switch pump engine off. Undo drain valve
at base of tank to releasewater in tank.
8) Drainwater out of pump by unscrewing
plug at the base of the pump. Check your
Hondamotor
Owner’sManual
for details.
B) Warm water washing
Performat least once aweek.
1) Ensure:
- drain valve at the bottomof the tank isOFF.
- mixer valve and pump inlet valve isON.
- distribution valve isOFF.
- On
MTF series
be sure that manifold
valves areOFF.
2) Pour inwarmsoapywater. Use hot –but
not boiling –water. Add a small amount
(50mls) of household detergent. Do not
use acid cleaners.
3) Use a brush to scrub the insides of the tank.
MTF ONLY:
4) Turn on pump engine and leave to soapy
water to circulate for 2-3minnutes . Then
open the distribution andmanifold
valves to sendwarmwater into the
manifold.

2) Attach a normal household hose
to the hose connector at the top of
the tank. Turn on the hose. Ensure
reasonablewater pressure.
3) Check that the oscillating ‘wobbler’
mechanism inside the tank isworking
properly. It should be spraying evenly
all around the tank. If the spray isn’t
multidirectional, a sharp tapwith your
hand to the outside top of the tank should
correct the spray pattern.
4) When thewater level reaches 100 litres,
turn on the pump engine. Run the engine at
the rate of idling.
5) When thewater level reaches 200 litres,
flush dispensing hose (if used) by turning
the distribution valve on and squeezing
trigger on the nozzle. Flush until water is
clear of milk residue.
MTF ONLY:
6) Turn distribution valveOFF andmanifold
valvesON to rinsemanifold. Oncewater
has flushed through the teats, with engine
still running remove one teat on opposite
side of themanifold valve. Keepwater
running until clear of milk residue.
